July is all about goals for me, and one of my goals this month was to get the Building An Authentic Brand Guide updated by the time I sent out this month’s newsletter. If you’re a part of the Bliss & Faith email community, then you’ve already been privy to knowing that not only did I get the guide updated, but I created an accompanying challenge for it.
I’m so stoked about the challenge, because it was something that was a while in the works and at times I went back and forth as to if I wanted to create it. In the end, my need to help and teach others won out with me creating the challenge, and I’m so happy it did. Today, I’m sharing all about the challenge, the intent and purpose behind it, and why I hope you will join in!
The Guide Backstory
When I initially released the Building An Authentic Brand Guide, it was released as a workbook guide, meant to be worked through and filled out. The guide had more of an informative feel, rather than teaching feel to it. As time went on, I realized that it could better serve others if it had a more teaching approach and it was important to me to add resources to it to make it just that. I took the 22-page guide and added 8 additional pages of branding information on authenticity to it. In addition, I expounded on the information already included in it. My overall goal was to make it more robust, educational, and useful.
The Challenge Purpose & Intent
Upon completing the guide, I came to the conclusion that I didn’t want to end the teaching with just the guide. I saw an opportunity to give others more insight into how to apply much of what is included in the guide, as well as see how I do it and get real world examples of how brand’s foster and cultivate authenticity. I wanted to start a conversation around brand authenticity, especially since lack of originality has been a major issue in the creative world lately. A challenge to guide others through the importance of brand authenticity seemed so right and relevant, that I would have been wrong not to create one.
Last month, the thought first entered my mind of doing a webinar or some type of outreach regarding brand authenticity, but that just didn’t seem like enough. I needed to do more, something that could get others involved and hands on in. There was that missing piece of tangible interaction that I wanted to include in order for me to feel that I was effectively relaying the importance of brand authenticity. And so a challenge was born!

The challenge is comprised of 14 days of guided instruction and insight from yours truly about brand authenticity. It not only covers the coaching and teaching purpose of Bliss & Faith, but allows me to interact with my community in a way I’ve never done before. In addition, its an opportunity for me to grow the Bliss & Faith community, to make it even better.
One of the reasons that growing a community is so important to me and the future of Bliss & Faith, is because of the fact that the larger the community fosters so more creativity, ideas, and a place for like-minded individuals to connect and network. The Building An Authentic Brand Challenge is a small, but effective way of being there for my community and sharing my insight, knowledge, and expertise.
Its exciting to be able to directly reach out to those in the challenge, all while they learn and enrich their brands. Although I’m an extrovert by nature, its a bit daunting to delve into something so new and open up that access to a point of no return. Its daunting and scary in a good though, and that’s why I’m so excited to take you all along for the ride!

How It All Will Work
For 14 consecutive days you’ll receive a notification for a task from the challenge, insight and instruction for how to accomplish it, a daily tip, and inspiration from yours truly via email. If you don’t already have the updated guide, you’ll receive a copy of it upon joining the challenge. You will have lifetime access to all of the content in the challenge, so even as new content is added, you will receive all of those updates as well. A webinar and Slack group is in the works, so that you can not only connect with me more, but with others going through the challenge. I can personally say that I’m a huge fan of both, and they are great ways to connect with other like-minded individuals.
Its very important to me to foster a thriving networking opportunity in the challenge, because not only does it make it more fun, but it allows for accountability to be at the forefront of it. Getting the opportunity to meet and talk to others in the course, and see how they’re getting along will be motivating and encouraging to you as well. Its a win-win for everyone, and the best thing is that its all FREE!
If you know anything about mastermind groups or networking opportunities, then you know they don’t typically come free. People pay top dollar to be a member of a mastermind group or to attend a networking opportunity, whether online or local to them. In joining the challenge, you will be a part of an automatic community that you’ll be able to bounce ideas off of, get in front of a new audience, and meet new friends.
